The wind has been brutal here lately, but this kit has kept my cover firmly in place without any shifting. The cable threading through the grommets is a solid deterrent, and locking it up gives me real peace of mind when the car is parked outside.
Installed it on my car cover last week and the cable threading feels solid enough to actually deter someone. It’s doing its job in the wind so far, though I wish the lock mechanism were a bit smoother to close. Took me two tries to get the tension right, but once it’s set, it stays put.
